17th January, 2016 one day State Level Sensitization Workshop of Panel Advocates of DLSA on the subject “Combating Modern Day Slavery and Trafficking Law and Procedure”
In line with the plan of action prescribed for implementing NALSA (Victim of Trafficking and Commercial Sexual Exploitation) Scheme, 2015. The Bihar State Legal Services Authority organized one day State Level Sensitization Workshop of Panel Advocates of DLSA on the subject “Combating Modern Day Slavery and Trafficking Law and Procedure” on 17 January, 2016.
Panel advocates of DLSA from 12 districts of state of Bihar identified by NACO as source intervention and transit points in inter districts and inter state corridor for Human Trafficking namely Patna, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Siwan, Gaya, Saran, Muzaffarpur, Bhojpur, Gopalganj, Sitamarhi, Begusarai and Vaishali participated in the Workshop.
The event was inaugurated by then Hon’ble Executive Chairman, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ramesh Kumar Datta. The programme was addressed by Sri Om Prakash, Member Secretary, BSLSA, Sri Shashank Shekher, Advocate Supreme Court of India and Ms Sanju Singh, Advocate Patna High Court.
The subjects touched upon in this programme were Human Trafficking- Law and Procedure, Bihar victim compensation Scheme, Trafficking Compensation (CSE and victim) from NALSA.
The NGO Human Liberty Network collaborated with the BSLSA for organising.
