Legal Awareness Program on NALSA ( Child Friendly Legal Services to Children and their Protection) Scheme, 2015 and NAlSA ( Legal Services to the Mentally Ill and Mentally Disabled Persons) Scheme, 2015.

Children as a class are vulnerable and our Constitution accords rights to children and gives them special status. In this regard the parliament has enacted several laws and various programmes which are being run by the govt. for their welfare. However, there is lack of awareness and sensitivity in the general public towards this issue. Same is the case with Mentally Ill people who are neglected and discriminated nor there is proper awareness as to the approach which should be taken for their treatment and rehabilitation.

To spread awareness and create sensitivity towards Children and Mentally ill people in line with the schemes of NALSA i.e NALSA ( Child Friendly Legal Services to Children and their Protection) Scheme, 2015 and NAlSA ( Legal Services to the Mentally Ill and Mentally Disabled Persons) Scheme, 2015. The BSLSA organized awareness programme on 12.06.2016 and 19.06.2016 at village Bhojipur and Udaini respectively. The Member Secretary Shri Omprakash, Shri Kishor Kunal, OSD and Shri Rohit Kumar, OSD, BSLSA addressed the legal awareness programme. This programme was attended by the local villagers and representatives of NGOs, teachers of the local schools and Office bearers of Local Panchayat. The law interns of BSLSA also participated and addressed the awareness programme and got the first hand experience of the manner and purpose of such camps.
